In April this year the 1908 Incorporated Society Act was replaced. This signals that it is time to pull out the old rule books and check they are still relevant, there will be no shortage of legal experts that can assist with this.
In October 2023 Societies can start to register under the new act which closes in 2026. On the Accounting front, Societies will report under PBE standards which is a step up from Special Purpose Reporting that many have been using.
